Who Is Emily D'Alba?

I am a Public Communications Specialist for the City of Chesapeake, where I began working full-time in May 2026 after graduating from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Photography and Video Art.

In my role with the City of Chesapeake, I photograph employees, events, and places throughout the city. I also create reels and other content for the City’s Instagram, produce and manage flyers throughout City Hall, create the employee newsletter each week, and more.

Since 2022, I have been growing my skills in photography and videography, continuously exploring new ways to grow creatively and technically. During my time at Christopher Newport University, I worked with the university’s videographer and marketing team, as well as the multi-media team of the Chesapeake Fire Department. These experiences strengthened my abilities and deepened my understanding of visual storytelling.

I am dedicated to delivering high-quality work and strive to produce the best results for every client. I approach each project with professionalism and care, always making sure every photo and video I deliver meets my standards.
